Hazel House B&B accommodation and garden

Hazel House is one of the oldest buildings in the village. Maps from more than 150 years ago show only Hazel House and the school chapel.

The former farmhouse is steeped in history and was once the home of Lady Mary Louisa - the wife of famous Victorian engineer and local benefactor Joseph Whitworth.

When the sun shines, make sure you take time to stroll around Hazel House's beautiful half-acre gardens. They overlook four more acres of grounds - fields which were once worked by the former farm.

Visitors are welcome to use the patio and there is plenty of garden furniture for those who want to relax and admire the views of the Derbyshire countryside.

There is ample parking space provided - for up to five cars.
